I love a dance movie. I love Kate Moss. And I love Aleksandr Petrovsky. I read in Vogue UK this morning that Kate Moss and Mikhail Baryshnikov have just signed on to star in a ballet movie tentatively titled, Baryshnimoss. Aside from being a little worried about Kate's acting skills, I am going to RUN to see this movie. The film is going to be screened first at a fundraising event and then shown as a gallery installation. Please consider this my official plea for an invitation!
No one on the planet will rock a leotard harder than Kate.
It's funny (and kind of sad) that Baryshnikov's SATC role has given him pop culture relevance. Don't get me wrong, he is a ballet badass but after he started sleeping with Carrie Bradshaw he became a household name. It's going to be fantastic to see him onscreen again.
He may be 62 but he can still bring it.
