I'm not sure if you caught GQ's April 2012 edition (Helloooo John Slattery on the cover) but it was their first ever Style Bible and it was a damn good issue. Very quickly though, can we discuss Roger Sterling? Wowie. No one on Earth can rock a charcoal gray suit like he can... But I digress.
Aside from the usual style/grooming tips, celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati snagged an awesome feature that followed her during award season while she styled her roster of shockingly handsome A-Listers. The best part of the piece was when she threw down fifteen of the best style tips for men that I've ever heard. Simple, logical and flawless.
As she's responsible for getting clothes on the backs of Armie Hammer, Bradley Cooper and Chris Evans, you men out there should definitely listen to her. Consider this an intervention boys...
Ilaria's Fashion Tips for Dummies
No belts with suits. It adds bulk.
Don't buy your suit too big. If you can comfortably throw a football in your suit jacket, it's too big.
Don't pick a suit that's too tight either - especially in the crotch. You'll look like Bert Reynolds.
You should be able to fit two fingers under your shirt collar. If you can fit more, it's too big.
You can (and should) mix prints in the same color family.
When dressing down, you can't go wrong with a good t-shirt and a good pair of denim.
T-shirts should be white, gray or black and not too long.
Crewneck T-shirt instead of a V-neck. Ever see James Dean in a V-neck tee? Exactly.
NEVER wear graphic T-shirts.
Never wear pleated chinos.
Consider a shawl collar sweater.
Tortoise frames rather than black for sunglasses.
Never have more than two buttons of your shirt unbuttoned unless you are a rockstar.
Never show chest hair unless you are at a salsa bar in Mexico.
Never wear square-toe shoes. Gross.

Love these outfits, so pretty:)
