Sell Seashells by the Seashore

I love a good staycation and Manhattan is the best place on Earth to spend a lazy three-day weekend.  Not sure what you lovelies have planned for this Memorial Weekend, but if you don't have the time (or funds) to get somewhere with a nice sandy beach, let NYC bring the beach to you.  Below are a few of my favorite sea-inspired spots that you've got to check out.

The John Dory Oyster Bar

This is really one of my favorite spots.  The vibe when you walk in is just perfectly mellow, perfectly chic and smells deliciously briny.  I mean, if you can't be slurping oysters and drinking champagne while listening to the waves crash, this place is a very, very close second.

Le Bain at The Standard Hotel

In my opinion, this is the prettiest rooftop lounge in the city.  Grab some friends, take over one of the pink terry cloth covered water beds and spend an afternoon getting a tan and drinking cocktails.  If you want to stay inside, take a dip in the not-very-hot hot tub where I've seen many gorgeous models sitting around topless.  Not kidding.  Try to get there in the early afternoon as the door gets trickier and trickier as the day progresses.

Surf Bar

Not sure if you have ever been to Surf Bar in Williamsburg, but there is sand on the floor, Malibu barbies super glued to the taps and an entire menu of cheap tropical drinks.  The food is not great but the atmosphere is really fun and it's the perfect place to spend a warm evening.
