Daydreaming with Emily DePauw

Emily DePauw is one of my very best friends and one of the best people on Earth.  We became friends in NYC (we moved to the city within about two weeks of each other) and even though she moved back to California only a year later, we've not only stayed friends but have actually become even closer over the past five years.  She is the person I go to when I want advice, when I need to hear an honest opinion and when I need a partner for a rockstar night out dancing.

Em is a personal trainer and a dance educator/choreographer.  She's an LA native with New York blood running through her veins.

Five places you want to visit in your lifetime:
 Brussels.

 Copenhagen, Denmark.

 The South of France.

 Tahiti.

Venice.

How I envision my life in five years:
I don't know where I'll be in five years, because as we know, life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.  I will say that I have finally arrived at an age where I am absolutely positive about what I want and what I am willing to work for.  I want my career in fitness to continue and to be able to provide me with a great living.  I must have dance in my life, regardless if it is me performing, dancing or choreographing.  I want to meet an amazing man who is ambitious, kind and thinks the world of me.  I want to think the world of him.  I absolutely want a family, to own my home and to have money in the bank to provide for a life of comfort and adventure.  I look forward to what "fate" has in store and I will continue to bust my ass to achieve this.

Go-To Drink:
A vodka soda with lots of lime.  It's always refreshing, doesn't fill you up and goes with any food.

Something I've been daydreaming about lately:
Choreographing a dance piece and submitting it to festivals.  I've also been thinking about creating a side project/dance company.

Currently listening to:
Florence + the Machine and DJ Morgan Page.

Currently reading:
Karma: Rhythmic Return to Harmony
One of the contributing authors to this book taught at LMU (where I went to college) so that drew me in.  This book explores the concept of balance, and for every action, there is an equal opposite reaction.  I tend to enjoy non-fiction and philosophy books more than fiction.
